Why this role matters

Lifecycle marketing is key to helping our customers succeed with Shiftbase. From onboarding and activation to retention and reactivation, this role is central to ensuring users experience the value of our platform quickly and seamlessly. You’ll work closely with the Product Activation team, leveraging customer insights, automation, and data to design campaigns that move the needle for our users—and for Shiftbase’s growth.

What you’ll do

Lifecycle & Automation

  • Develop and execute lifecycle programs that engage users across onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation.
  • Use tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, or similar platforms to automate and personalize lifecycle journeys.
  • Design scalable frameworks for customer engagement that align with Shiftbase’s pricing and packaging strategy.

Growth & Activation

  • Partner with the Product Activation team to remove barriers to early success and increase product adoption.
  • Create growth loops that amplify user engagement and retention.
  • Run A/B tests and experiments to optimize key touchpoints across the customer journey.

Analytics & Insights

  • Collaborate with Product, Data & Analytics to build and maintain dashboards to track performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage customer data and insights to design campaigns and measure their impact.

Content & Campaigns

  • Write compelling lifecycle messages in native Dutch and near-native English.
  • Craft high-impact email campaigns, landing pages, and in-app messaging that resonate with users.
  • Create segmentation strategies to deliver the right message to the right audience.

Strategise & execute go-to-market plans

  • Translate company objectives into clear go-to-market strategies for product launches.
  • Collaborate across Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver seamless launches and ensure alignment.

Create winning content & campaigns

  • Develop compelling, audience-specific content in native-level Dutch and near-native English.
  • Lead multi-channel campaigns (email, in-app messaging) to drive product adoption and track performance metrics for optimization.

Understand the market

  • Conduct competitive research and elevate customer insights into the realm of product positioning and messaging.
  • Use data and feedback to continually improve marketing effectiveness and differentiation.

Bridge teams for success

  • Align cross-functional teams on product marketing initiatives, ensuring clarity and focus across the business.
  • Develop strategic documentation and internal communications that empower others to deliver consistent messaging.

What we’re looking for

Required Skills & Experience

  • Native Dutch Speaker (Essential): Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, with near-native English fluency.
  • Marketing Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, or similar.
  • 3-5 Years of Relevant Experience: Growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a related field.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Proficient in analyzing metrics, running experiments, and optimizing campaigns.
  • Strategic & Executional Balance: Able to design high-level strategies while rolling up your sleeves to execute them.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with growth loops, onboarding strategies, and segmentation frameworks.
  • Experience aligning marketing initiatives with pricing and packaging strategies.
  • A passion for automation and programmatic campaign design.
